Command and Control Fallback Solution
The NC8000 is a system which allows command and control access to base stations which have switched to local site Trunking mode (Fallback).
NC8000 is made up of a remote Server Transceiver Unit and Client Dispatcher Software.
The Server Transceiver Unit (STU)
A 2U 19inch rack mount unit containing a TETRA transceiver, processor and power supply. The external connections are 230V AC mains, RJ45 network connector and antenna connector. The STU is located remotely, with good RF signal levels to the base station for which fallback is required.
The Client Dispatcher Software (CDS)
An application which can be installed on any suitable PC connected to the same LAN/WAN as the STU. The client PC application enables users to link to the STU units and operate the remote transceivers routing audio and control signals via TCP/IP and VOIP to the sound card in the client PC. The user simply needs a headset to operate the system from any PC loaded with the CDS. PTT can be implemented by screen control or a footswitch connected to the serial port on the PC.
The NC8000 system offers emergency fallback with the dispatcher being located anywhere on the LAN/WAN connecting the STU and CDS.
